Like a modern crinoline petticoat for interior lighting fixtures, the Ellisse Triple Pendant by Nemo Lighting presents itself as an ultra-minimal lighting piece that delivers in both terms of aesthetics and functionality. Created from an extruded aluminum material, the fixture captivates without being too needy or feeling too flimsy or fragile. The fixture makes extensive use of its 3 linear LED lights, hence its namesake, arranged into a three-tiered system that allows consumers to visually appreciate the art of the piece no matter how close or far they are. LED lamping is energy-efficient and can be dimmed when needed, enabling the fixture to be as versatile as it is pleasant.
Founded in 1993 by Franco Cassina and Carlo Forcolini in Italy, Nemo was established to recreate the lighting pieces that best represented the "Golden Age" of Italian lighting design of the 1960s and 70s. Nemo acquired ItalianaLuce five years later, offering a line of clean, relaxed modern lighting that provided an informal counterpoint to the vintage mid-century authenticity found in Nemos modernist line of Franco Albini-designed lighting.
