A New Exclusive from Luceplan
Material research and technological achievement turn pieces of wood into Luceplan's new Illan LED Chandelier. These flexible hoops are actually slender strips of laser-cut plywood that make for an impossibly light silhouette. The LED light source is, naturally, an energy-saving component, but the wood is also sustainably forested in line with Forest Stewardship Council certification.
PageOne is Off the Wall
Is it a wall sconce or a pendant? Why not both? PageOne Lighting's Fisher LED Wall Sconce isn't traditionally either type of fixture, with a wall bracket that positions the pendant light like a sconce. This design is a great option in any space thanks to its pin-up design—meaning, it plugs into any wall socket and doesn't require an electrician to handle any wiring.
Discover the Disk
TossB's Disk Pendant lets you control not only the lighting but the atmosphere. By hanging this fixture higher or lower, the pool of light is expanded or contracted to create a stunning vignette that's almost like your own private light cocoon. Plus, this simply versatile design can be mounted as a flush or wall light.
Time for Something New
Nomon’s upping their game on new and different clock designs, and the Pico Wall Clock is the latest venture. This little piece has the same German-engineered clockworks that make all Nomon clocks perfect timekeepers, but the design is unusually artistic in keeping with Nomon's ethos of creating clocks to be like pieces of jewelry for the home.
Nanimarquina Does it Again
Kilim rugs are exceptionally crafted and it's no different with Nanimarquina's Silhouette Area Rug—except for the fiber. This rug is hand-woven in the kilim technique and embroidered with Afghan and New Zealand wool. This indoor rug version can also be hung on the wall as a modern tapestry.
Throwback Design for Today
Danish furniture designer Børge Mogensen created the BM3670 Dining Table in the 1960s for his private balcony. Today, we're lucky that Carl Hansen & Søn has reissued this chic, untreated teak table that's made from FSC-certified sustainable wood. This versatile design can be folded flat and hung up on a wall while not in use, making it ideal for outdoor spaces of all sizes.
New from Monte Carlo Fans
It’s uncomplicated, but no modern fan enthusiast would dare call it basic. Monte Carlo Fans’ new Arcade Ceiling Fan is EnergySTAR qualified and moves a whole lot of air efficiently. The three steel blades give this design a contemporary feel while the tried-and-true pull chain is no-nonsense.
Learning the Soft Way
Because the hard way is overrated. Schooling, working and just taking care of business from home has us searching for ways to be more comfortable while doing what we need to do, and Connubia's Academy Swivel Chair is here to help. Per its very name, this chair swivels around as you need, but the soft castors and vintage faux-leather fabric let you do so in soft, comfy style.
Light that Moves You
Movement is designed directly into the Dean Chandelier by Arteriors. Inspired by kinetic sculpture in which movement is a design element in itself, this chandelier is part mobile, part mystery—it need not look the same way twice. The arms freely rotate around the central stem for a variety of looks you can control.
Small Desk with a Big Job
BDI wants us to work smarter—and smaller—with the new Sigma Compact Desk. In tiny cubes, office nooks or tucked into a spare bedroom, this desk lets you get all your work done without taking up a ton of real estate. Plus, cable management is built right in with a ledge that can hold a power strip up and out of the way for all your peripherals.
