Indicates that a lighting fixture has been tested and rated by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), an independent product safety certification company. "UL Listed" usually means that the light fixture has been approved for dry locations.
Indicates that a lighting fixture has been tested and rated by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), an independent product safety certification company. "UL Listed Damp" means that the light fixture has been approved for damp locations; usually for bathroom lighting and some exterior lighting applications.
Indicates that a lighting fixture or ceiling fan has been tested and rated by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), an independent product safety certification company. "UL Listed Wet" means that the light fixture has been approved for wet locations; usually for bathroom light fixtures and outdoor lighting.
A fixture installed under upper cabinets in order to illuminate the counter space below. Under cabinet lighting is strictly functional, with a slim and often long design that will keep it hidden once installed and provide the maximum expanse of task light.
A circular plate used for mounting hanging lights and sconces. As opposed to a crossbar, a UMB's wider, round surface area and variety of holes allow for versatility of mounting and superior support to a junction box.
