In this brief Q&A, our Merchandise Manager, Trade, Kerry Ellis introduces DESIGNHEURE as part of the exclusive Lumens Trade Access assortment, only for trade professionals.

Over the past decade-plus of working closely with design professionals to source lighting for projects of all shapes and sizes, we’ve gained the unique advantage of knowing exactly what trade professionals are looking for in their lighting specifications.

This knowledge is what has informed our latest offering: Trade Access. This product line is exclusively for members of Lumens Trade Advantage. Once you’ve joined our trade program, you’ll have access to this exclusive assortment of products hand-picked for trade members, and you’ll also be assigned your own personal Trade Account Manager who can help you specify every piece, down to color temperatures and voltage.

One of the brands offering their line exclusively to the trade through Lumens is the French brand DESIGNHEURE. Their pieces are often feats of engineering and provide that wow-factor to any project. We spoke with Trade Access merchandiser Kerry Ellis, who brought on DESIGNHEURE, (and is quite the accomplished interior designer herself) to learn more about Trade Access and why DESIGNHEURE is such an important addition to the product line.

What is the concept behind Trade Access?

Trade Access allows us to show products exclusively to our Trade partners. This opportunity has allowed us to expand our product offerings to the Trade to include products that require additional expertise or might be geared towards commercial projects. This includes configurable systems and multi-light fixtures, expanded upholstery options, commercially rated furniture collections, and modification options, to name a few.

What brands are included in Trade Access and how did you choose them?

Some brands that will have products in Trade Access are: Louis Poulsen Trade, DESIGNHEURE, Egoluce, ANDlight, RBW, Boyd, Menu, Shakúff, Slamp, Estiluz, SkLO. We also are featuring SONNEMAN, Vibia, and Axolight (configurable systems), Petite Friture (furniture), Menu (custom upholstery), Cerno (modifications), Nanimarquina (custom sizes), Lodes, Marset, and Melogranoblu (multi-light configurations).

Can you tell us more about DESIGNHEURE and what they add to Trade Access?

We proudly feature DESIGNHEURE exclusively online through Trade Access. This brand is manufactured in France and in addition to the standard product offerings on the sites, they also have modification and customization capabilities. This allows Trade partners to tailor the fixtures specifically to their projects, and the pieces can fit beautifully in residential, hospitality, or commercial environments.

What are a few DESIGNHEURE pieces we can look forward to shopping through Trade Access?

Two of my favorites are the Nuage Chandelier, which we recently featured on the Trade catalog cover, and the Mosaik system. Both collections have a variety of standard shade options, but can also be easily customized.

How do trade professionals access these products?
