WAC Lighting
The WAC Lighting StoryWAC Lighting was founded in 1984 by Tony and Tai Wang in Forest Hills, NY. Currently located in Garden City, NY, WAC Lighting remains a family owned and operated lighting company, with daughter Shelley as President and Thomas in charge of international sales. WAC Lighting leads the way in the development and production of sustainable and efficient lighting. WAC Lighting currently offers a wide range of recessed lighting, track lighting, display lighting and art glass pendants, many of them low voltage and/or using energy-saving LEDs. Why We Love WAC LightingWAC Lighting makes LEDs sexy. They have embraced the technology so completely that you'd think they'd invented it themselves. WAC track lighting and recessed lighting have LEDs, as do some WAC Lighting pendants. And when it comes to pendant lighting, you can see WAC's second greatest love: art glass. They source the glass from specific regions as projects dictate, getting Murano glass from Italy, crisp white and clear glass from Germany, and glass with bright colors and organic creativity from the Pacific Northwest. Lastly for the great outdoors, look to the collection of WAC landscape lighting for bollards, path lights and accent fixtures your backyard will love. A Fun Fact About WAC LightingWAC Lighting may not have invented LEDs, but they sure have taken them further than anyone else. WAC Lighting is the first lighting company to have created an organic LED (OLED) chandelier: the Sol Chandelier. It's named so due to its design inspiration of ancient tribal symbols of the sun. It uses seven reversible naked OLED panels, which swivel within the striking Black Nickel-finished aluminum frame. In 2013, Modern Forms was established as a division of WAC Lighting to focus on modern LED fixtures for the bathroom and outdoor applications. Noteworthy Lighting from WAC LightingAmong the most popular of the WAC LED lights are the adjustable spots, display lights and other fixtures in the LEDme collection. And combine energy efficiency with a distinctly modern style with the dweLED from WAC. Finally, as part of WAC's under cabinet lighting assortment, be sure to check out the options for LED tape light, including the popular InvisiLED line of products. |
